There are seasons when people try to fix themselves, push harder, and force change, yet nothing truly improves.
The problem is not always inside you.
You may simply be in the wrong environment for too long.
A poor-fit environment does not only slow your growth. It also makes you question yourself. You start believing you are weak, lacking, or not enough.
Then the moment you step into a healthier setting, everything changes quickly. Not because you became someone else overnight, but because the surrounding force changed.
Some places keep you in constant self-defense. Some places make you perform all day. Some places force you to shrink just to survive. In those places, energy is drained before work even begins.
When you stay too long in that condition, body and mind learn a losing state: the more pressure, the more exhaustion; the more exhaustion, the more doubt. From that state, every effort becomes heavier than it should be.
Leaving an old environment is not always impulsive. Very often, it is a mature act: recognizing what is wearing you down and choosing again.
Even when you cannot leave immediately, you can begin with small moves: reduce harmful exposure, spend more time in restorative spaces, reset your work rhythm, and choose better companions.
You are not always the problem. Sometimes you simply need an environment where your best self has room to appear.
